Affinity No.4 explores the layered nature of self—cycling through anatomy, cognition, identity, and memory. Created with stencil, aerosol, and pen work, the piece reveals consciousness as a sequence of transitions. Faces emerge, dissolve, and reform in a looping rhythm, reflecting the multiplicity of thought. A visual meditation on introspection, continuity, and the shifting shape of inner life.

The visual rhythm, that transition from neural networks and raw cognition on the left, through skull and death, into emergent identity and reflected self-awareness on the right — feels like a cycle of thought, memory, mortality, and self-construction. The overlapping heads suggest a kind of time-lapse of consciousness, or even a dialogue between selves, almost like snapshots of internal monologue captured in form.
The green neural bloom to the far left, that almost biological explosion of synaptic pathways rooted in a brain — it feels like the origin of thought, raw and electric.
The skull in the centre, acts like a hinge or void — maybe introspection at its most severe: ego death, or confronting the limits of self.
The transition into coloured faces holds a feeling of emotional individuation, like multiple possible selves fusing into a fuller awareness.
The golden-bronze profiles at the end: They feel contemplative, maybe even reconciled — still haunted by the echo of the skull, but pulsing with life, with memory.
